Models and bug fixes
Let's start with some progress!
I have had a collage of screenshots on the GitHub page for some time. I felt it needed an update. Below you see the new snow crawler model and a new workshop!
The new model is quite old, but the workshop just got an upgrade. Let's take a closer look. Today I added the jars, pliers, a rag and a hammer. As all textures and lighting in this game is baked - and I really mean baked - into the models, there is no transparency. At least I chose not to use it on models. This means, the nails in the jar are actually just a part of the texture. The jar is completely empty, just don't tell anyone.
And what is a devlog without any lists? Here are some lists.
Small fixes and changes:
- Extinguished a fire from the hangar. Not a joke. There was fire.
- Made a comically tiny gasoline pump normal-sized.
- Some time issues, where going through a door would cause the time of day to go backwards.
- Moved the snow up in the air, so it doesn't appear in eye-level...
- Added a bit of dialogue.
The next things to add:
- Fix some developer tools for faster development.
- Make the light be able to turn off.
- Add sounds when interacting with the generator.
- Implement more elements of the radio dialogue.
I hope you found this a bit interesting. Follow for more sporadic updates. Any questions are happily answered!
